Ecuador, April 21st, 2026. Gran Tierra Energy is pleased to announce that it has successfully obtained the ISO 14001:2015 certification for its operations in Ecuador, marking a significant milestone in the Company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) journey.
This internationally recognized certification reflects Gran Tierra’s adherence to rigorous Environmental Management System (EMS) standards, highlighting its commitment to responsible resource development and sustainable operational practices. The certification encompasses the full scope of the Company’s activities in Ecuador, including the management, administration and operation of services across the entire hydrocarbon value chain – spanning across exploration, production, treatment, transportation and commercialization.
The certification was awarded by SGS, a globally recognized independent third-party organization specializing in testing, inspection and certification. SGS conducted a comprehensive audit of Gran Tierra’s Ecuadorian operations, including its Quito office, to verify compliance with ISO 14001:2015 standards.
This milestone reinforces Gran Tierra’s broader ESG strategy, demonstrating accountability, transparency and continuous improvement in environmental performance. By aligning its operations with globally recognized standards, the Company continues to strengthen stakeholder trust while advancing responsible energy development in Ecuador.
